NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING OF MEMBERS
You are invited to a Special General Meeting of Members of the Finnish Credit Union Limited to be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the credit union's head office located at 191 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto, commencing at 6:00 p.m.

Agenda Highlights:
  1. Appointment of external auditors for the credit union.
  2. Special Resolution to approve the replacement of ByLaw 1 in its entirety in order to comply with the Credit Unions and Caisse Populaires Act and related regulations. The following are the major changes to be considered:


a.  Establishment of the Bond of Association
b.  Establishing term limits for directors and the chair of the Board of Directors
c.  Establishment of the position of Chief Executive Officer
d.  Changes in the nomination and election procedures for directors
e.  Changes to procedures dealing with suspension and expulsion of members
f.  Changes to methods of voting that may be allowed.

CONGRATULATIONS TO SEPPO KANERVASeppo Kanerva was the recipient of the 2010 Osuuspankki Finnish-Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year Award.  He is a Partner in Sedun + Kanerva Architects.  Among many architectural designs which Seppo has done, Seppo has been instrumental in designing retirement homes for Finnish-Canadian.  His most recent design in Sudbury's retirement home was for their Alzheimers and Dememtia ward.  Congratulations to Seppo!
